Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by! I recently purchased a new blog domain. To read my new posts please visit wtsheals.com. I am providing this link because I am too cheap to purchase a redirection package from WordPress. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my new blog site!
The new expansion is here! I’ll be honest, when I first saw the preview I REALLY thought it was a joke. I mean, Pandas? Really? But as I thought about it more and more, it started to grow on me. Well, as you all know, with a new expansion comes CHANGES! Our talent system is completely getting overhauled. Blizzard is “cutting the fat” from our talent trees. No more “Increases X by Y” talents! They are all finally pure utility talents and you can choose the ones that suit YOUR character and YOUR play-style the best! Continue reading
There has been a ton of talk about how the new and improved Divine Hymn stacks up against Tranquility in the healing community. I figured this post was needed so everyone has an idea of how powerful both abilities are against one another. Continue reading
I’m a Wrath baby. I admit it. I played very casually in BC, but I didn’t start raiding until Wrath of the Lich King. My knowledge of Holy tree history only extends back to the last expansion, so it’s not nearly as vast as some other players, but I think it would still be interesting to take a look back at Holy viability and desirability between the two expansions. My guild killed Ragnaros 10-man on Sunday on the second pull. We have been working on him for about 2 weeks prior to the recent 4.3 nerfs. We weren’t that far off, but we had only seen phase 3 once prior to our kill.
It was bitter-sweet. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy we downed him, but it just didn’t seem as great as the time we downed Nefarian. We had only seen P3 once prior to our kill and believe me our P3 was extremely sloppy. 2 people died from lava waves. I died from a meteor. Another DpS died from a meteor. Then a tank died.
Over half the raid was dead and we still killed him. We all just kinda sat there until someone said “so that’s it huh?” over Vent. No one was as nearly excited as the time we downed Nefarian pre-nerf. There were no “FUCK YEAH!’s” in guild chat. The feeling of accomplishment just wasn’t there.
Overall, I’m happy that Ragnaros is dead (hopefully permanently this time), but I’m unhappy that Blizz had to hold my hand to do it.
Baleroc is a healing nightmare. My guild has gotten him down…….twice on 25-man now. The flow of the 25-man attempts are much more complicated due to the addition of an extra crystal. Rather than 6 or 7 people being responsible for crystal tanking and Vital Spark management, you have about 20 in 25-man. Continue reading
With the release of Patch 4.3, Blizzard has introduced a unique feature: Transmogrification.
From Blizzard: “The Ethereals, emerging from the nether, will bring with them a new technology they call Transmogrification. They’re heading to the capital cities of Azeroth to set up shop and to offer adventurers a unique service — copying the appearance of one magical item onto another. They only ask for a modest gold donation to recoup their costs.”
No words can describe how awesome this feature is. But there is a catch. Currently, it seems you would need to obtain the original piece of gear for you to use the graphic on your current loot. Priests have had some REALLY GOOD sets, and some kinda ugly ones. Lets take a look at each one. Continue reading
